My name is Susan Battani and I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic School! I received my Elementary Education degree from the University of Northern Iowa. Go Panthers! I began my teaching career with 1st graders in West Des Moines. I then took a few years off to be a stay at home mom followed by teaching preschool for six years. I started teaching Kindergarten at St. Luke’s with the opening of the school in 2015. I am blessed with a supportive husband and three wonderful kids. I spend most of my free time watching my children in their activities and sports. I also like to bake and spend time outside. Kindergarten is a very important year, and we have many fun learning adventures ahead of us! My goal is to help each child discover a passion and love for learning. I am looking forward to great year!
Hi, I am Theresa Seeman and am very excited to be at St. Luke's school. I have worked in the Des Moines diocese for many years including being at St. Patrick school in Perry as a preschool associate and Assumption School in Granger as their preschool/pre-kindergarten teacher. I graduated with my BA in Elementary Education from University of Northern Iowa in 2011. I have endorsements in Early Childhood with Special Education, Social Studies and Reading. I enjoy bike riding, scrapbooking, and selling my jewelry when I have free time. I am excited to be a part of the St. Luke family.
