Hello! My name is Morgan Krapfl, and I teach 1st grade at St. Luke the Evangelist! I attended the University of Iowa where I received my elementary education degree with endorsements in reading and language arts. I have been teaching 1st grade since St. Luke’s opened their doors in 2015. Before that, I taught kindergarten for a year at St. Malachy in Creston, Iowa.
I grew up in Cedar Rapids where I attended catholic schools from kindergarten until graduation. I loved attending a catholic school while growing up and am so lucky that I get to teach in one today! I can’t imagine teaching anywhere else.
In my free time I love to read, spend time with my family and friends, and go on adventures both big and small.
I have loved being a part of the St. Luke’s community and look forward to another wonderful school year!
Hello! My name is Kristen Flanagan, and I’m so excited to be one of the 1st grade teachers at St. Luke the Evangelist! I’m eager to meet and get to know all of our families this year and the years to come. I enjoyed attending private schools growing up in Southern California and cannot imagine teaching anywhere else. I attended Iowa State University where I received a degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in reading, language arts and social studies. Go Cyclones!
In my free time I love to watch sports! College Basketball, Football and Baseball are my all-time favorites. I enjoy reading and cooking during my free time as well as spending as much time with my family as I can. A fun fact about me is that I have three sisters and two brothers! Out of all my siblings, there are two of us who live in the Midwest, three who are still California and one who moved to the South! We all love to travel and experience new places.
Again, I’m so excited to be teaching 1st Grade this year! Please pray for us as we will be praying for all of you!
