Hello! My name is Carolyn Fischer and I am very excited to be the guidance counselor at St. Luke’s School! I am looking forward to meeting all of the students and families, as well as continuing to grow and expand along with the school.
I grew up in West Des Moines and graduated from Sacred Heart and Dowling Catholic High School. I received my Bachelor Degree from Creighton University in Secondary Education and English. I taught at St. Joseph School in Des Moines for five years and while working there, obtained a secondary education reading endorsement from Drake University and started my Master’s Program in Preventative Mental Health and School Counseling through Creighton University.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family-my husband, Eric; son, Charlie; and dog, Frank. I also enjoy reading and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, St. Louis Cardinals, & Creighton Bluejays. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the St. Luke’s community and cannot wait for a great school year!
