ST. LUKE'S TEACHERS ATTEND THE NCEA CONVENTION & EXPO

Several of our teachers attended the NCEA Convention & Expo earlier this week in Chicago. Our teachers would like to thank our Family School Association and everyone who supported our fundraising efforts to cover the costs for the conference and travel expenses.

The NCEA Convention & Expo is the largest private education association gathering in the world. Those who participated represented all aspects of Catholic school and faith-based education from preschool, elementary, secondary, adult education, colleges and universities. The Convention was a time to celebrate, to acquire new knowledge, and to renew your spirit.

8th Annual Lady’s to Luke’s Bike Walk Run
Save the date

St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic School will host our 8th annual Lady’s to Luke’s Bike Walk Run this year on  Sunday, May 19th. The Bike Walk Run is a four mile journey where participants of all ages travel from Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Church to St. Luke the Evangelist Church. Through this event, we strive to build community between the two churches while fundraising for our new and growing Catholic School at St. Luke’s.

As in years past, our fundraising efforts will continue growing our comprehensive science and technology programs that are utilized by the school to further enhance our student’s educational experiences.

To complete the registration, please visit: www.stluke.fundmonkey.com

Volunteers are needed and will receive a free t-shirt: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050d4cada628a2fd0-volunteer

2019 CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK

The 2019 Catholic Schools Week took place January 27 - February 2. The week kicked off with a student-led Mass and social, and then each day there were different activities, such as pajama day, read and feed (bring a snack during reading time), wear your favorite team shirt day, the 100th day of school, and a school talent show. Students also learned about Catholic vocations from several guest speakers, including Father Adam and Deacon Fred.
